In this release, the client portal has been updated to the new user interface, with improved filtering options and a more consistent experience. In addition, you can now select multiple filter values at once in almost all grid views. New actions have also been added to the planning calendar.

In grid views, you could already select multiple values at once for filters with a fixed list of values (such as status, type or category). This now also works for variable lists such as Relations, Projects, Employees and items, so you no longer need to switch between filter values to compare results.

How it works:

• Click the filter to open a window showing all available values, each with a checkbox.
• Select the desired values and confirm with OK.
• The grid shows only the records that match at least one of the selected values.
• If no value is selected, the filter is inactive and all records are shown.
• The selected values are visible on the filter button, so you always know what is being filtered.

You can find this filter directly in the column header of the grid and in the active filter panel above the grid.

In the planning calendar, you can now copy, cut and paste schedules. Select a schedule and open the context menu to choose the desired action. You can also use the familiar keyboard shortcuts:

• Ctrl + C — Copy
• Ctrl + X — Cut
• Ctrl + V — Paste

This allows you to quickly move or duplicate schedules within the calendar.

 

A new Task column is available on the production page. The column is hidden by default and can be enabled via Page preferences. The task value is also available when exporting the production page.

 

The public holidays feature lets you define official non-working days per country or region. The application automatically takes these into account in planning, time registration and timesheet approval.

You manage public holidays via Companies > Public holidays. For each holiday, you enter the date, name and a country code (ISO 3166-1, for example NL for the Netherlands or DE for Germany). The region code is optional: leave it empty and the holiday applies to the entire country; fill it in and it applies only to that specific region (for example NL-NH for North Holland).

Per employee, you set which public holidays apply on the Work schedule tab, using the country and region code. This allows you to assign each employee their own holiday calendar based on their location.

 

It is no longer possible to correct an advance that has already been settled in a settlement invoice. The Correct button is disabled on the Invoice detail page when the invoice contains an advance line for which a settlement invoice has already been created.

 

The client portal has been migrated to the same modern user interface used in other parts of FortesMilestones, such as the invoice detail and the production page. The functionality remains the same; the look and feel now matches the rest of the application.

The following improvements have been made:

• Date range filtering — you can now filter the client portal by a date range.
• Multi-select in filters — entity filters now support selecting multiple values at once.
• Grouping — the grouping options have been aligned with the rest of the application.
• Task description in task details — the task description is now shown in the task details within the client portal.
• Contact person and invoice reference on the production page — these columns were already available in the client portal and have now also been added to the production page.

We are working on a renewal of the standard reports in FortesMilestones. With this, we aim to better align the reports with the current information needs of users and ensure a recognisable and consistent appearance.
