Changes

We are currently still actively developing the new planning screen. Several improvements have already been implemented to make planning more intuitive and efficient. Below is an overview of the changes made recently. More enhancements and expansions will follow in the coming period.

Project Planning Added to Planning Page

The Planning page now supports project planning. There is no longer a separate page for project planning: users can now switch between different groupings on the existing Planning page. In addition to the existing grouping by employee, the following are now available:

  • Project – one group row per project
  • Project / Budget – one group row per project per budget

Adjustments in Page Preferences

New Page Preference for Availability Calculation

You can now choose whether availability is calculated based on standard hours or contract hours. For groupings by Project and Project / Budget, the following applies:

  • When multiple employees are linked to a task, the availability bar for that task is calculated based on the sum of all employees’ availability.
  • The availability bars in the group rows are always fully filled but are colored based on the percentage of scheduled hours of the underlying tasks. This follows the set preference for color indication.

Customizable Layout of Grouping Headers

It is now possible to define the layout of group headers via user preferences. You can use parameters such as:

  • %ProjectName%
  • %BudgetName%
  • %ProjectCustomerName%

 

Various Filtering Adjustments

Dynamic Date Filtering Added

Support has been added for dynamic filtering of the “From” date. This allows users to ensure the Planning page automatically starts from the current date. Depending on the selected view, the following options are available:

Group Filtering by Scheduled Tasks

A new option has been added for filtering groups, available for all grouping types. This shows only groups in which tasks are actually scheduled, regardless of the set date filter.

Company Filter Expanded with “Current Company”

It is now also possible to filter by the current company.

 

Adjustments to Color Indicators

Color Indication for Weekdays and Weekend Days

When the Planning page is displayed in day view (via the Show X days… option), the column headers representing the days receive a color indication. This visually distinguishes weekdays from weekend days. The colors used are the same as those in the task day details and the Planning tab.

Budget Indicators Visible in Group Rows

The round dots of the budget indicators are now visible in the grouped rows.

 

Full-Text Search Function Added

It is now possible to search the full text from the top right corner.

 

New Columns: Article Group, Company, Employee, Budget Status

The following columns have been added and can be made visible via page preferences:

  • Article Group
  • Company
  • Employee
  • Budget Status

 

User Views Available for New Planning Page

The tile views on the homepage are now also available for the new Planning page, as previously seen in Resource Planning.

 

Import of Monthly Tasks

In addition to daily and weekly tasks, monthly tasks can now also be imported via the Planning page.

 

API Extension: Manager Information Added

Additional fields have been added to the OverviewProject endpoint in the Web API:

  • ManagerEmployeeCompanyId
  • ManagerName
  • ManagerCode
  • ManagerNumber
